EV FirePro is a tough, durable fire fighting system designed to protect property for many years.
Like all fire safety systems, your EV FirePro should be cared for and maintained to ensure it will perform if needed.
Although the tough construction of the EV FirePro has been designed to withstand vehicle traffic, driving over your device will cause wear to the finish of the special anti-slip decal applied to the plate surface. To protect the finish of your EV FirePro, we recommend avoiding driving on the device as much as possible. Damage to the finish from tyre wear or other mechanical means is not covered under EV Fire Protection’s product warrantee.
Your EV FirePro is an advanced fire fighting system designed to activate when needed most. Like any fire safety installation, it is good practice to test the device periodically.
EV FirePro is fitted with a test facility to allow the automatic activation of the water valve solenoid to be checked with or without flowing water.
EV Fire Protection recommends testing the device annually to ensure reliability.
Aggressive environments
The EV FirePro system is constructed from durable 304 stainless steel. However, some installation locations will require the system to be checked regularly to ensure foreign debris will not affect operation or obstruct spray nozzles. Regular inspections should be carried out and debris cleaned off the EV FirePro plate as required.
WARNING: IMPROPER TESTING OF YOUR EV FIREPRO MAY RESULT IN A FIRE BRIGADE CALLOUT!
WHERE EV FIREPRO IS TO BE FLOW TESTED, THIS MUST BE COMPLETED BY A LICENCED FIRE PROTECTION SERVICE PROVIDER. FAILURE TO ISOLATE THE FIRE BRIGADE MONITORING SERVICE (ALARM SIGNALLING EQUIPMENT), MAY RESULT IN FIRE BRIGADE ATTENDING THE BUILDING INCURRING UNWANTED FEES.
