MARINE & DEFENCE
Electropar Ltd, now trading as PLP NZ, began supplying electrical components such as junction and terminal boxes, switch sockets, and light switches to the Anzac Frigate build in the 1990s after becoming a supplier to Siemens. Since then, PLP NZ has successfully delivered products across nine classes of naval vessels in New Zealand and Australia, expanding further to shipyards in countries including Spain and Canada to ensure product continuity.
Committed to providing the best technical and practical solutions for each platform, PLP NZ often develops unique prototype designs tailored to specific project needs, supported by its New Zealand-based manufacturing capability. With a strong focus on long-term, whole-of-life support for marine equipment supplied to Navies, the company has built lasting relationships with major contractors. Founded in 1950 and acquired by PLP in 2010, Electropar has decades of experience as a manufacturer, exporter, and importer, now strengthened by access to the global offices and manufacturing facilities of the PLP international group.
