Aluminium Line Guards (ALG’s, ALGS’s)

For use on: AAC, AAAC, ACSR or SBC Conductors

PLP Line Guards are intended to protect against abrasion and arc-over, and to provide limited repair.  The degree of protection needed on a specific line depends upon a number of factors such as line design, temperature, tension, exposure to wind flow, and vibration history on similar construction in the same area.  

Line Guards are recommended as minimum protection for hand-tied spans
