DSPA FIRE Suppression – Live Demonstration Highlights

PLP New Zealand held a special event at Vertical Horizon NZ in Wellington to showcase the range of DSPA Aerosol Fire Suppression Solutions.

We wish to acknowledge the support of Transpower New Zealand, Downer NZ and Alliance Fire and Security whose support made this event possible.

Live DSPA demonstrations included a DSPA Flood System, DSPA Cabinet Solution and the DSPA Handheld units.

DSPA Building Flood System
A full DSPA flood system was installed in a 20-foot container. This system used all of the hardware installed in a normal fixed building system, including Pertronic fire panel, aspirator system, smoke/heat detection, and alarm signaling. It showcased how a complete fire system cycle operates from detection, alarm, activation through to the fire suppression itself. This demonstration replicated the fixed DSPA systems we have been installing around NZ and Australia.

DSPA Cabinet Protection
DSPA has a unique approach to fire protection of electrical cabinets and any enclosed hardware, protection from inside the cabinet itself. These come in the basic form of passive detection units through to integrated systems.

DSPA Handheld Protection
DSPA has a range of handheld suppression devices that help staff remain safe whilst aid in fire suppression in enclosed rooms. As these are non-pressurized, they require minimal maintenance and servicing compared to traditional dry powder extinguishers. This in turn reduces OPEX costs in remote or high-risk areas.
